Step 1: Use the supplied dropper and remove a small amount of liquid from the bottle and wet the suspected stain with 2-3 drops. Allow the liquid to soak into the fabric and proceed to step two before fabric has dried. 

Step 2: Using one of the supplied blotting papers--blot the entire wetted stain area--pushing down gently in different places--until the blotting paper is thoroughly wet. This transfers some of the stain from the fabric tested to the blotting paper. Set the blotting paper aside to dry. Note: Blotting Paper must be 100% dry prior to proceeding to step three. 

Step 3: Mixing the solution: Using the supplied dropper--remove 10 ml of the liquid (2 dropper fills) from the liquid bottle and empty liquid (from dropper) into the bottle with power reagent. Shake the mixed solution for at least 30 seconds to mix completely. 

Step 4: Use the supplied dropper and remove a small amount of the mixed solution (from step 3) and wet the blotting paper (from step 2) with 3 drops (of the mixed solution). Once you drop the mixed liquid onto the blotting paper start timing. The blotting paper will turn PURPLE almost immediately--but definitely within 15 seconds If semen is present. If a PURPLE color (light or dark) does not appear within 15 seconds--the stain tested is NOT semen.
